Alan Ace Cooper is a native Washingtonian and currently plays in the Washington D.C. metro area. However, Ace has traveled and toured nationally with different artists and bands throughout his career. Ace has been playing the bass for over 30 years. Initially inspired by Verdine White of Earth, Wind, & Fire, Ace taught himself to read music and play the bass at 11 years old. Ace was accepted @ Duke Ellington Senior High School for the Performing Arts in Washington, DC. Bassing became part of his blood and he never stopped playing. Over the years, Ace has developed and continues to learn and develop his craft in various genres such as Gospel, Praise & Worship, CCM, Funk, R&B, Country, Pop, Pop Jazz, & World Styles by performing with a variety artists, churches, bands, and groups. Ace is always ready for the challenge of new musical experiences, so he can continue to grow as an bassist and an artist.
